Cold! It was 27 degrees when we left from Truckee this morning. Also a little foggy. I turned on my helmet, tail and front flashers to begin the ride. Had everything I own on to wear to begin our very nice ride toward Graeagle. We did have 3 round-abouts and I made only 1 wrong turn, good start😜. Then it was a pretty straight ride on route 89. There were a few climbs totaling about 2100 feet of climbing with some wonderful downhills. Traffic was light making this a great riding day.

Yes, a little bit of snow at our first sag just to show how cold it was. |
Really, a Yak! I'm not sure I've seen one other than pictures and maybe at a zoo. There was a whole paddock full of them along with cows. I wonder what they do with them. Susan says Yak butter is just awful.
Sheila is taking a picture of these pretty red flowers. I've forgotten their name. |
Pretty red flower! |
Another summit, this one, nameless! I hope someone is keeping track of all these summits |
We have 2 guests from previous rides: Susan Gishi and Pam Harrison. What fun to see them. Pam is with her husband Tom and Gishi brought her dog, Peppi.
This is Gishi working on my Garmin getting it to work for me. Apparently there are some operator errors that need to be cleaned up. I'm looking forward to using it tomorrow. Thanx Gishi!
For Wendy, we stopped at a coffee shop when almost to this very cute motel. I had chicken tortellini soup and a bagel. Emily is BBQing something for dinner.
Brrrrrr - that is cold Gail. How lovely that Pam and Gishi dropped by :)
