Jun 6, Sisters to Detroit, OR

If I were to title this day it would be the Perfect Ride Day. We had about 12-14 miles of flat riding before an approximately 17 mile rather gentle climb. We rode by Mt Washington, little brooks and an assortment of wild flowers. It was just a great downhill of close to 30 miles with fairly good shoulders most of the way. Since the ride was just about 56 miles we decided to have lunch in Detroit. That  was such a good choice! Almost all of us ended up at the same place, KC's, at the same time. So we sat around a picnictable having our lunch. It's right next to tonight's hotel, The Lodge at Detroit Lake. The owner worked very hard to have our rooms ready after lunch. Three of us took a nice walk to the lake behind us where we saw many boat slips occupied by a wide assortment. It's called Detroit Lake and looks to be a well used recreational center with some lovely homes around it.
Leaving from Sisters, Suttle Lake.

Another Summit.

We cross the Pacific Crest Trail about 16 times.
